Rod Stewart Cancels Concert Tour Following Heart Procedure

Rod Stewart has cancelled the remaining 2026 dates of his “One Last Time” North American tour following heart surgery. His most recent show was August 7 in Bridgeport, Conn. The legendary two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer underwent what is described as a “routine” coronary stent procedure this month. “Doctors are pleased with his recovery,” his representatives said in a statement, “and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities.

“On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage.” When he does, tickets will be available here.

The 81 year-old’s hits-packed setlists typically includes songs like “You Wear It Well,” “Maggie May,” “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy,” “The First Cut is the Deepest,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “Every Picture Tells a Story,” “Young Turks,” and “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You.”

In his own statement, Stewart said, “I want to thank the doctors, nurses and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me. I’m deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon.”

On June 19, Stewart paused during his performance in West Valley City, Utah, when he got lightheaded. He ultimately returned to the stage to complete the concert.
