Aerosmith Announces Rescheduled Dates For ‘Peace Out’ Tour

Aerosmith have revealed the rescheduled dates for their farewell tour, “Peace Out,” which will begin on September 20, 2024. The April 10 announcement—that also revealed three new shows—comes more than six months after the tour was postponed when Steven Tyler’s vocal injury was discovered to be more serious than initially thought. At that time, on Sept. 29, 2023, the band has been forced to postpone the tour to “sometime in 2024” when they revealed that “in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, [Tyler] fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.” Tyler injured his vocal cords during their Sept. 9, 2023, concert. At the time, he wrote, “I’m heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can!”

The prior announcement noted Tyler “is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential. New dates [will] be announced as son as we know more.”

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Tickets, including the three newly added shows, go on sale April 12 at 10 a.m. local time here.

Aerosmith were just three shows in to their tour, which opened on Sept. 2, 2023, when it was suspended, and then postponed. The “Peace Out” tour, originally announced on May 1, 2023, had been teased for several days, and subsequently revealed 40 North American dates with special guest The Black Crowes. The tour celebrates the five decades of Aerosmith’s groundbreaking hits; drummer Joey Kramer is not accompany them. ‘“While Joey remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith,” the band stated in the tour’s original announcement, “he has regrettably made the decision to sit out… to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”

Produced by Live Nation, the tour has now been extended to Feb. 26, 2025, to accommodate the rescheduled dates. A highlight of the tour will be a stop in Boston for Aerosmith’s special hometown show on New Year’s Eve. Tickets are available here.
