Aerosmith Sets Farewell Tour, ‘Peace Out’

Aerosmith have announced their farewell tour, “Peace Out.” The news on May 1, 2023, teased for several days, revealed 40 North American dates with special guest The Black Crowes. Every night will celebrate the five decades of Aerosmith’s groundbreaking hits as they celebrate 50 years as America’s greatest rock band. Drummer Joey Kramer will not accompany them. ‘“While Joey remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith,” the band stated in the announcement, “he has regrettably made the decision to sit out… to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members have sold more than 150 million albums. In a joint statement, the four-time GRAMMY® award-winners said, “It’s not goodbye it’s Peace Out! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives.” THX will bring their THX Certified Live! high-fidelity experience on the road, calibrating each arena with leading-edge technology.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour will begin on Sept. 2 before wrapping on Jan. 26, 2024. A highlight of the tour will be a stop in Boston for Aerosmith’s special hometown show on New Year’s Eve. General on sale begins May 5 at 10 a.m. local time here.
