Bob Dylan has announced the resumption of his “Never-Ending Tour.” This time it’s being billed as the “Rough and Rowdy Ways” world wide tour 2021 – 2024, named for his acclaimed 2020 studio album. The U.S. concerts of his Fall 2021 tour begin in the midwest on Nov. 2 and continue in the northeast into early December.
The venues include several dates at New York City’s Beacon Theatre, where Dylan has regularly played a fall residency. Tickets went on sale Oct. 1.
On Mar. 9, 2020, Dylan’s website revealed 24 U.S. dates for June and July of that year, mostly in amphitheaters, with Americana band, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, starting on the west coast and concluding in the northeast. Two months later, on May 12, the tour was canceled, a victim of the Covid-19 pandemic. (14 Japan performances that were to take place in Tokyo and Osaka in April 2020, had previously been canceled.)
The concerts will be the Bard’s first live performances in nearly two years. Dylan’s last live concert was Dec. 8, 2019, in Washington, D.C., following a 10-show residency at the Beacon, part of a lengthy fall 2019 U.S. tour.

On July 18, 2021, a streamed concert, called “Shadow Kingdom,” was made available via Veeps.com. Dylan turned 80 on May 24.
