Roger Daltrey has announced several more shows for his 2025 solo tour of the U.K. called “Alive and Kicking… and Having Fun!” The intimate shows will feature Daltrey performing acoustic and semi-acoustic takes on songs from The Who as well as delve into his solo back catalog that dates back nearly 50 years, along with stories. It follows 2024’s U.S. run of a mostly acoustic set of “Who gems, rarities, solo nuggets and other surprises” with an intimate rock-based band and setting as well as answering questions from the audience. The run begins April 20. Tickets for the newest shows go on sale to the general public on Dec. 6 here.
When he announced a similar tour in 2022, Daltrey said, “The truth is singers need to sing. Use it or lose it.” The powerhouse vocalist will turn 81 next March 1. Pete Townshend has indicated that he and Daltrey will perform as The Who at some point in 2025.

In announcing the 2025 dates, Daltrey said: “Here we go again! After touring the U.S. with this band of phenomenal musicians, I can’t wait to get back on the road in the U.K. with these shows. It’s a joy to be on stage performing and sharing familiar songs in an unfamiliar way.”
The nine-piece band again consists of regular Who collaborator Simon Townshend (guitar/ vocals) alongside John Hogg (bass), Doug Boyle (guitar), Steve Weston (harmonica), Jody Linscott (percussion), Billy Nicholls (Backing vocals), Katie Jacoby (violin), Geraint Watkins (keyboard), and Scott Devours (drums).

Jump into a conversationThanks for sharing the Roger Daltrey tour.
Its unfortunate that dates for U.S. tour got nicked.
His autobiography is a trip, at what he has achieved over a 50 year span. It’s a
eye opener into the synergy of his bandmates! They were all characters.
Would love to see him tour in the states!
Thanks a Lot, Mr. Kibblewhite (there’s a name for a band!) is a scream. Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere is a good history of the band.
