If you’re in the “I’m only into the Faces-era and early solo stuff” Rod Stewart camp, we suggest you click here. But if you embraced his late ’70s and early ’80s output, proceed at your own risk.

Kicking off a new relationship with Republic Records, Sir Rod, one of the best-selling artists of all-time and a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, has teamed with multi-platinum selling group DNCE for the release of a re-imagined version of one of the most iconic dance tracks of all time, Stewart’s 1978 hit, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy.” Stewart and DNCE  released a new version of the song on August 25.

[Note: the song title is often misspelled as “Do You Think I’m Sexy.]

To celebrate the single’s release, Stewart and DNCE will perform “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 27.

Originally released in November 1978 on his ninth album Blondes Have More Fun, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” stands out as one of his signature songs, peaking at #1 in six countries including the U.S. where it reigned at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart four weeks in 1979 and the year’s overall #4 hit. The song was named among Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”

DNCE was formed in 2015 and enjoyed a breakout hit with “Cake By the Ocean.” They earned Best New Artist at MTV’s 2016 VMAs.

The huge success of “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” helped its album to worldwide sales of more than 14 million copies. Although he continued to score numerous pop singles–perhaps as punishment for embracing disco–it would take Stewart another 26 years to return to the top of the U.S. albums chart. The third volume of his Great American Songbook series hit #1 in 2004.

Watch the original, you know, for old time’s sake
