For the second-to-last show of Paul McCartney‘s eight-night “residency” in the New York metropolitan area last night (Sept. 26), the star was joined onstage by native son Billy Joel for two Beatles favorites. Since resuming the U.S. leg of his ongoing One On One tour on Sept. 11 in Newark, McCartney has performed two times each at the area’s four operational arenas: the Prudential Center, Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and, finally, the Nassau Coliseum.

McCartney’s 39-song sets are a combination of Beatles and Wings favorites and solo hits. He has just three more U.S. dates and then heads to South America and Mexico for six shows in October. He closes the year with seven concerts in Australia and New Zealand in December.

On Sept. 15, he was joined by Bruce Springsteen and Steve Van Zandt for two performances of “I Saw Her Standing There.” Last night, Joel came onstage midway through McCartney’s eight-song encore to join the band for “Get Back” and “Birthday.”
