Jackson Browne Schedules 2026 Concerts, First Since Son’s Death

Jackson Browne has announced a three-night stand at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. The brief residency, in November 2026, represent the first full concerts that the singer-songwriter has scheduled since the death of his son on Nov. 25, 2025. Ethan Browne, the only son of Browne and his first wife, Phyllis Major, died at age 52 at his Los Angeles home from a lethal combination of drugs. The LA medical examiner ruled that the death was an accident.

Just weeks before Ethan’s death, the singer had completed a residency at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas. His first public performance since then was a June 5 appearance at Music America: The Songs That Shaped Us, the first of two shows organized by Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi held at West Long Branch, NJ, where he sang “For America” and “I Am a Patriot.”

On July 10-11-12 at the Hollywood Bowl, he sang a pair of songs each night, “The Fairest of the Seasons” and “These Days,” for a celebration of the music featured in the work of filmmaker Wes Anderson. He’s also scheduled to participate on Oct. 1 at An Evening Honoring Steve Earle in San Francisco.

Seats for Browne’s Nov. 19 and 20 concerts at the Pantages Theatre quickly sold-out. A third was added for Nov. 22. A pre-sale for tickets for that show begins on July 29 here. General on-sale begins July 30.

Browne turned 77 on October 9, 2025. He has earned six Top 20 singles in his career, beginning with his first release, “Doctor My Eyes,” which reached #8 in 1972. Other songs from his classic rock catalog include “Running on Empty,” “Rock Me on the Water,” and “Fountain of Sorrow.” He co-wrote “Take it Easy” with Glenn Frey, which became the first hit for the Eagles.
