
NYC STILL RISING AFTER 25 YEARS: A 9/11 COMEDY BENEFIT
Jon Stewart and Pete Davidson have announced an all-star comedy benefit in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. NYC Still Rising After 25 Years, a one-night-only event bringing together an extraordinary lineup of acclaimed comedians at New York City’s Madison Square Garden will take place on September 10, 2026. All proceeds from this event will benefit 9/11 charities.
Fans can get early access to tickets via various pre-sales starting July 29 at 10 a.m. ET through July 30 at 10 p.m.. The general on-sale begins on July 31 at 10 a.m. ET here.
Produced by Live Nation, the special evening will feature performances by Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, Ronny Chieng, Davidson, Nikki Glaser, Josh Johnson, Stewart, plus more special guests. In the July 27 announcement, Stewart and Davidson, both native New Yorkers, noted, “We look forward to once again celebrating this great city’s tenacity, resilience, and championship heart – and we don’t only mean our NY Knicks!”

The event marks the second installment of the benefit, following the inaugural NYC Still Rising After 20 Years: A Comedy Celebration in 2021. Dixon Talent, WME Comedy, and Live Nation Comedy worked together to bring this event to fruition.
The event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space. Anyone seen using a device (phone, smart watch, or accessories) during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security.
Stewart, 63, is the longtime host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Davidson, 32, was a Saturday Night Live cast member for eight seasons, covering 2014 to 2022. His father, Scott Davidson, was a NYC firefighter who lost his life at the Twin Towers during the September 11th attacks.
