Carole King’s 2016 concert at London’s Hyde Park will come to U.S. movie theaters this summer as Carole King: Tapestry—Captured Live at Hyde Park London. Sixty-five thousand fans attended the show—her first U.K. concert in 27 years—where she performed her mega-selling album Tapestry in its entirety for the first time ever.
Sony Music’s Legacy Recordings, in conjunction with Rockingdale Records, will release the concert on CD and DVD on September 1. Pre-order is available here.

This cinema event by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee includes appearances including Tom Hanks, Elton John, Graham Nash, Lou Adler, Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar, James Taylor, David Crosby, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, and includes several Goffin/King compositions.
Fathom Events and AEG Presents will bring this concert to American audiences for the first time on July 11 at 7:00 p.m. (local time). Additionally, cinema audiences will be able to listen to an interview with King and an introduction by the WCBS-FM radio host Scott Shannon.
Tickets for Carole King: Tapestry—Captured Live at Hyde Park London can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com and at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to attend at one of nearly 600 select movie theaters. Highlights of the performance include King’s daughter, Louise Goffin, joining her on “Where You Lead,” King being accompanied by a recording of her younger self on “(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman,” as well as a performance of “I Feel the Earth Move” with Cassidy Janson and the London cast of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. In addition to Tapestry, King performed several hits from her ’60s partnership with Gerry Goffin and her solo career including “The Loco-Motion” and “Take Good Care of My Baby.”

Jump into a conversationWow. Just..WOW! She’s easily one of the greatest singer/songwriter/composer/arrangers ever!! So bummed I’ve never seen her live. Funny…earlier tonight I watched the rebroadcast of PBS’s American masters:Carole King episode. It’s a must watch for any fan. Lots of great early clips. Man I hope she does some US shows sometime soon!
