Al Stewart has announced additional dates for his farewell tour. The 81 year-old musician, who has relocated to Chandler, Ariz. from Los Angeles (his home for more than 45 years), began winding down his touring schedule in 2025 with his long time band The Empty Pockets. On Oct. 6, 2026, he added many 2027 dates in the U.S., following previous shows in the U.S., Amsterdam, the U.K. and Ireland. Tickets for many of the 2027 concerts are available here and here.

Stewart, born in Scotland on Sept. 5, 1945, came to stardom as part of the legendary British folk revival in the sixties and seventies and developed the combination of folk-rock songs with delicately woven tales of the great characters and events from history. He is best known for his 1976 hit single “Year of the Cat” from the Platinum album of the same name and the 1978 Platinum follow-up album Time Passages. He played at the first ever Glastonbury Festival in 1970, worked with Yoko Ono pre-John Lennon and shared a London apartment with a young Paul Simon.
Stewart’s recordings are available in the U.S. here and in the U.K. here.

Jump into a conversationAl’s voice is still so smooth! I played my Year of the Cat album constantly – literally wore it out & had to buy a new one.
He brought a lot of introspection to my teenager soul. I may smell a road trip to the NE in the fall.
I really wish Al hit some of the southern states in the USA below the VA line. I have listened to you since the 70s and love your music. I have a modest home on a golf course if you ever want to visit the Smokies you have a place to stay.
Al,
Have you forgotten the iconic Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, Pa? You played there many times over the years and even filmed a video there. You always sold out the beautiful, historic venue. The fans love you there. I can’t believe you are not coming back for one final bow.
