Little Feat will release Sam’s Place, the band’s first new studio album in 12 years, May 17, 2024, on Hot Tomato Productions/MRI. The recording marks the band’s first-ever blues album and the first to feature conga player Sam Clayton on lead vocals on every song. It’s available for pre-order in the U.S. here and in the U.K. here.

The first single/video, “You’ll Be Mine,” a cover of the Willie Dixon-written chestnut popularized by Howlin’ Wolf, was released on March 7, the day of the album’s announcement. A second song, a cover of the Muddy Waters tune “Can’t Be Satisfied,” was shared on April 17. Watch videos for both below.  Plus, see the full track listing and the band’s extensive “Can’t Be Satisfied Tour” dates below.

The members of Little Feat in 2024 are: Bill Payne, keyboards and vocals; Sam Clayton, percussion and vocals; Fred Tackett, guitars and vocals, Kenny Gradney, bass; Scott Sharrard, guitars and vocals; and Tony Leone, drums and vocals. The album was recorded at Sam Phillips Recording in Memphis, Tenn. in August 2023, except for “Got My Mojo Working (Live),” recorded live at the Boulder Theatre in Boulder, Colo., on December 17, 2022. This is the first Little Feat album recorded with new members Sharrard and Leone.
