Eagles have released a new concert album and film, Live From The Forum MMXVIII, recorded at the Forum in Los Angeles on Sept. 12, 14 and 15, 2018. (ESPN premiered the concert film on July 5.) The new title includes performances of such band favorites “Hotel California,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” and “Take it Easy,” as well as many of the individual members’ solo hits.
The album (and concert film) arrived on Oct. 16 in a variety of formats.

The group spent much of 2018 on an extensive North American tour with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey joining Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit. The quintet arrived at the Forum for three sold-out concerts and highlights from all three shows have been compiled for the new 26-song live album and concert film.
Live From The Forum MMXVIII was directed by Nick Wickham, and filmed on 14 4K cameras. It’s available through Rhino in a variety of audio and video formats, including Blu-ray, CD, vinyl, and streaming. (A super deluxe edition is also available.) The set captures live performances of the band’s most iconic hits (“Hotel California,” “Take It Easy,” “Life In the Fast Lane,” “Desperado”) and beloved album tracks, (“Ol’ 55, “Those Shoes”), along with some of the individual members’ biggest solo smashes, Henley’s “Boys of Summer,” Walsh’s “Life’s Been Good,” “Rocky Mountain Way,” and Gill’s “Don’t Let Our Love Start Slippin’ Away”.

From the original announcement: Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons. As the best-selling American band of the ’70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, the Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums and topped the singles charts five times. The band’s Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 and Hotel California are the #1 and #3 best-selling albums of all time according to the RIAA, certified Platinum 38x and 26x respectively. They have won six GRAMMY® Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

Jump into a conversationI wish the Eagles would do a new record with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill. It is strange that these guys are only doing Live gigs and numbering them. With all of their fame and legacy now secure, there’s got to be room and time for one more album. It’s possible that Don and the others might come across this suggestion and they’ll say”Not a bad idea”. Regards/ Mike
