The burst of 2017 touring activity involving Fleetwood Mac and its individual members continued today (August 10) with the announcement that Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie will do a second leg of their North American tour. After the initial tour ends tomorrow night, the pair will take two months off from the road and then hit an additional 22 stops beginning October 14.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, August 18 to the general public (except for Louisville which will go on sale Friday, August 25). An American Express pre-sale will begin Tuesday, August 15 at 10 a.m. local time. The duo also announced a new single going to radio, “Lay Down For Free.”
On August 9, Stevie Nicks announced an extension of her 24 Karat Gold tour with the Pretenders. And though the “mother ship” is only doing two dates this year–those would be the Classic West and Classic East concerts they did at LA’s Dodger Stadium and NY’s Citi Field last month–McVie has made several public comments that the full band will be doing a world tour in 2018.
Buckingham and McVie opened their tour on June 21 and are performing a mix of classic rock hits from the Fleetwood Mac catalog as well as their well-received, self-titled album.
