As we’ve noted, fresh off his 2016 Kennedy Center Honors, Timothy B. Schmit, vocalist, songwriter and bassist of two legendary classic rock bands, the Eagles and Poco, began a brief tour on January 7 to support his recent Leap of Faith album, out now on Benowen Records. The 13 dates were confined to California, Arizona and Nevada.
Ever since the original tour announcement on October 28, 2016, expectations for a broader touring schedule have been high. In the past week, Schmit announced several midwest and east coast dates including a performance in South Orange, NJ with Richie Furay. The South Orange Performing Arts Center says the concert is “their only U.S.A. appearance together exclusively for this performance.” On Jan. 27, he revealed the full east coast and midwest legs of the tour. (See below.) The announcement notes that more dates are expected soon.
