Update (Feb. 17): The Rolling Stones Exhibitionism will wrap up its New York City run on March 12 and will then head to Chicago. In a press conference this week, the organizers announced that the exhibit will open at Chicago’s Navy Pier on April 15, for a four-month stay ending on July 31.
Tickets for Exhibitionism will go on sale to the general public on Feb. 24 at 10:00 a.m. There will be an exclusive Early Bird Offer of a 25% discount on limited edition commemorative VIP tickets from Feb. 16-21 only. Group tickets for 10 or more are available by calling Broadway In Chicago Group Sales at (312) 977-1710 or visiting BICGroups.com.
Here is our original item on Exhibitionism from last summer…
Sign us up! Earlier this year, we brought you the story of a lifelong Rolling Stones fan who got the surprise of a lifetime when he visited Exhibitionism, a career-spanning exhibit of the band, held at London’s Saatchi Gallery. Now U.S. fans can also experience the exhibition as it makes its way to New York City this November.
Exhibitionism will run from November 12 through March 12, 2017. Tickets are on sale here.
After its wildly successful opening in London last April, the Stones have announced the exhibit will touch down at the West Village’s Industria Superstudio after it closed up shop in London on September 4. It’s described as “the largest touring experience of its kind ever to be staged,” and when it was first revealed in 2015, the announcement promised “12 locations around the globe that will host it over a four-year tour.”
Exhibitionism features over 500 memorabilia pieces that will include iconic stage costumes, original album cover and poster artwork, backstage and dressing room paraphernalia, musical instruments and equipment, stage set designs, personal correspondence and diaries, never before seen films and videos and rare audio tracks and more will provide an interactive journey through the group’s legacy from its beginnings as a London blues combo in the early 196os through their many decades as the reigning World’s Greatest Rock ’n’ Roll band.
Here’s a clip of Mick Jagger showing the Style section of the exhibit. “This kind of romantic, velvet stuff I used to wear,” he jokes. “I’d wear that just going shopping.”

Other highlights from the exhibit include a complete history of the Stones’ iconic, John Pasche-created “lips” logo, a video and movie gallery that screens portions of widely bootlegged documentary Cocksucker Blues and 3D concert footage plus tons of memorabilia from the band’s personal archives that were housed in a London warehouse over the past half-century.
Exhibitionism touches on every aspect of the group’s career over more than half a century and will be the largest touring experience of this kind ever to be staged by any artist, continuing the groundbreaking and innovative spirit of the legendary classic rock band.
We would imagine that the entire band will attend the opening as they did in London. Check out this clip from April 4; the fun starts at around the 2:50 mark…
Exhibitionism will also be in Sydney, Australia, beginning November 2018, according to the official website.
