The old adage “when it rains, it pours” certainly applies to classic rock icons making their 2016 tour plans. Paul Simon has announced a 34-date North American tour for this spring and summer, beginning with his previously announced headlining appearance at the New Orleans Jazz Fest on April 29th and ending with two dates at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium near his Queens, New York boyhood home. (See complete tour below.)
No word yet on the musicians that will be joining the legendary singer-songwriter for the tour. There have been reports that Simon will be releasing a new studio album this spring and even a title – Stranger To Stranger – but no details on that either. Simon’s most recent studio album was 2011’s So Beautiful or So What. A greatest hits album – The Ultimate Collection – with 19 songs spanning his Simon and Garfunkel years as well as solo work was released in 2015.
An American Express pre-sale has begun for several of the dates. Click here for details.
