Paul McCartney’s private concert in New York City this Friday, September 7,  won’t be so private after all. The star announced on Wednesday (September 5) that the performance of songs from his new Egypt Station album, as well as classics from the Beatles, Wings and his solo catalog, will stream live at 8 p.m. ET on the star’s YouTube channel.

The exact location of the concert hasn’t been revealed. The event takes place on Egypt Station‘s release date.

McCartney originally announced (on September 1) a contest for 150 fans “to attend a private evening event” in New York City. He has been doing a series of very private, yet high profile, concerts for fans this summer as he promotes the release of his upcoming studio album, Egypt Station. Following memorable concerts at Liverpool’s Cavern Club and at London’s Abbey Road Studios in July, McCartney announced the sweepstakes for 150 fans.

New York’s Metropolitan Transit Authority has been selling Egypt Station subway cards at Grand Central Station this week. On Wednesday (September 5), McCartney tweeted his fans.

On August 31, McCartney revealed the first 2019 U.S. dates of his “Freshen Up” tour. These five initial shows brings to 21 the number of concerts he’s announced to support the release of Egypt Station, arriving Sept. 7 on Capitol Records.

The September 7 concert caps a brilliantly planned teaser campaign for the new album. After days of teaser images on his social media platforms, two songs were released from the album on June 20: “Come on To Me” and “I Don’t Know.” The latest, “Fuh You,” arrived on August 15.
