The Cowsills (L-R): Bob, Paul, Susan and John

The Cowsills have announced a 2024 tour as well as confirmed their participation in the 2024 edition of the popular Happy Together of ’60s pop acts. The legendary family group, best known for their hit single “The Rain, the Park and Other Things,” have also released an EP, A Christmas Offering From The Cowsills. The digital release—available here—includes two original songs, “Christmastime (Song For Marissa)” and “Some Good Years,” as well as an a cappella version of “Winter Wonderland.” In 2022, the band released the critically lauded Rhythm of the World, their their first full length album in 30 years.

Formed in 1965, The Cowsills would become a worldwide phenomenon when “The Rain, the Park and Other Things” spent two weeks at #2 in 1967 (blocked from the top of the charts by The Monkees’ “Daydream Believer”). The Top 10 “Indian Lake” followed in 1968, and “Hair” also reached #2 in 1969. The family band became the inspiration for The Partridge Family, and even recorded the theme to Love, American Style. They’ve dealt with both career and personal adversity for years but have always found strength in their family bonds and, of course, their music.
