AC/DC have announced a dozen dates throughout Europe for the 2025 edition of their “Power Up” tour. The Feb. 3 news followed the Dec. 2 announcement of their first tour of the United States and Canada in nine years. The legendary band will perform in 13 North American stadiums in the spring beginning on April 10 and concluding on May 28. (Of note in the Dec. 2 announcement is the omission of many of North America’s biggest markets—New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Denver, Mexico City, Phoenix, and San Francisco, among them. It thus remains to be seen whether a second North American leg of the tour will follow.) Tickets for the majority of the European shows go on sale December 7 at 11 a.m. local time here.
The GRAMMY® Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame®-inducted AC/DC lineup is Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney.
The tour shares its name with their 2020 album, Power Up, which bowed at #1 in 21 countries. After marking their return to the stage with a single date in 2023, AC/DC completed a 2024 European leg of the “Power Up” tour, packing the biggest stadiums on the continent in the process.
AC/DC played their very first show on December 31, 1973 at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia. They are one of the most influential rock bands in history, with over 200 million albums sold worldwide. The band’s Back In Black LP is the best-selling album by a band of all-time and the third biggest album by any artist with global sales of 50 million. AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® in 2003. The band continue selling out stadiums on multiple continents, sell millions of albums annually and generate streams in the billions.
