Update (Oct. 8): The Scorpions canceled the final five dates of their tour with Megadeth, due to lead singer Klaus Meine’s laryngitis. The announcement stated that Meine “has been advised by a top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice. If he continues the tour, he could risk permanent vocal damage.
We truly hate to disappoint our fans, and hope to come back to America soon, but this time we have no choice but to cancel.”
Our original story from Mar. 24… Scorpions and Megadeth will team up for a full-scale tour of North America this fall. The 16-date outing is being dubbed the “Crazy World” tour after Scorpions’ 1990 album of the same name. The arena tour begins Sept. 14 in Reading, Pennsylvania, and concludes Oct. 15 in Tampa, Florida.
Megadeth released their 15th LP, Dystopia, last year. Scorpions’ 18th album, Return to Forever, was released in 2015. The latter band played a handful of concert and festival dates in America last year, including a Las Vegas residency.

“When our album Crazy World was released right at the end of the Cold War,” stated Scorpions’ Klaus Meine in a press release, “we toured around a world that was pretty crazy back then, but there was so much hope in the air for a more peaceful future. Now 26 years later, things are getting more crazy every other day. After all these years, ‘Crazy World’ is still a good motto for our upcoming world tour. We are very much looking forward to seeing all of you out there.”
