Back onstage for the first time since 2012, Radiohead will play a mix of large and smaller venues alongside festivals worldwide in the coming months, and likely issue a new album, though details on the recording remain under wraps.

The band’s appearance at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona on June 3 is being touted as “the presentation of the new album.” That suggests such multi-night mid-sized venue dates in May such Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall, Le Zénith in Paris and London’s Roundhouse may also showcase the LP project the band has been working on, its first since 2011’s The King of Limbs.

“We’ve certainly changed our [recording] method again,” guitarist Jonny Greenwood recently told The New York Times. “We’re kind of limiting ourselves; working in limits. So we’ll see what happens. It’s like we’re trying to use very old and very new technology together to see what happens.”

The tour also includes multiple large venue dates in New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City. The group’s website says “These are all the headline shows that the band will play in 2016.” Radiohead has festival appearances in Europe, Iceland, Canada and Japan “announced so far,” strongly hinting that they may well play some major U.S. fests as well.

Back in December the band released one new track: The theme they wrote and recorded to possibly be used for the film Spectre. Its makers decided instead to go with a number by Sam Smith that won an Oscar last month.

To best serve their quite loyal fan base, Radiohead is selling tickets via its website.
