Paul McCartney Sets Special ‘Egypt Station’ Box Set

The Egypt Station Traveller’s Edition contains exclusive previously unreleased tracks, hidden rarities and more

Paul McCartney has confirmed the release of a Egypt Station Traveller’s Edition, coming May 10 via Capitol Records. The limited box set will include exclusive, previously unreleased songs and other rarities.

The February 14 announcement notes that the limited deluxe edition of his 2018 #1 album will be a one-time-only pressing of just 3000 numbered cases. “The Traveller’s Edition will arrive in a vintage style suitcase,” says the announcement, “and contain exclusive previously unreleased tracks, hidden rarities and all the essentials needed on your journey to Egypt Station and beyond.”

Those interested in purchasing it must sign up here by 9 p.m. ET February 14. They will be emailed a unique link which allows a first chance at purchasing the limited release. Emails with links for first access to pre-order will be sent out at 9 a.m. ET on February 15. The price was mentioned in the announcement but we’ve discovered that it’s $360.

The Egypt Station Traveller’s Edition audio and video content include:

Egypt Station was released September 7, 2018. The album entered the Billboard Album Chart at #1, making it McCartney‘s third non-Beatles/Wings release to top the U.S. chart and his first U.S. #1 since 1982’s Tug Of War—and his first solo album to enter the chart at #1.

McCartney’s Freshen Up tour resumes March 20 at the National Stadium in Santiago, Chile, and currently runs through July 13 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Tickets are available here and here.
