Christine McVie Mourned By Fellow Female Music Stars

Christine McVie is being mourned by her fellow female music stars, who are paying tribute to the Fleetwood Mac singer, songwriter and keyboardist who died Nov. 30, 2022, at age 79. In a heartfelt post, Stevie Nicks called her longtime bandmate her “best friend.”

Ann Wilson of Heart called her a “gem” and a “beautiful songwriter,” while her sister, Nancy Wilson called her as “an understated genius.” Sheryl Crow described McVie as “an amazing human being.”

Carole King wrote, “With love and respect.
R.I.P. Christine McVie. 🌹”

Nancy Wilson wrote, “Christine McVie was an understated genius. Her songs will remain romantic blues anthems for all time. She was the moon to @stevienicks sun.
And together, they had a magic that will never be repeated.
Long live the queen. 💔”

Sheryl Crow wrote, “I am so sad to hear of Christine McVie going on to heaven. The world feels weird without her here. What a legend and an icon and an amazing human being.”

From Melissa Etheridge: “Oh no! 😞 Such a big part of my music world. Journey well…we have lost a beautiful writer and songbird.”

Marcella Detroit aka Marcy Levy, who co-wrote “Lay Down Sally” and also duetted on “The Core,” with Eric Clapton on his Slowhand album, wrote “RIP legend, fly and sing on high with the angels 💜💜💜💜💜🙏🏻.”
