The Who revealed today (Mar. 20) that they’ll be playing four U.S. dates in July leading up to their recently announced Las Vegas residency. The performances are spread out over 10 days. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 24 here.
Joining the growing list of classic rock acts, comedians and pop stars who have embraced Sin City, The Who announced on March 20 that they will launch an exclusive Las Vegas residency this summer at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning July 29.
Though the venue has become the home of some of the biggest names in entertainment, The Who are the first rock band to take residency at The Colosseum since the venue opened in 2003.
The set list or type of show is as yet undecided.
The first six shows are July 29, August 1, 4, 7, 9 and 11. Prices are not for the faint of heart: Tickets are $501/$351/$226/$151/$100.50/$76 (prices include 9% live entertainment tax as assessed by the State of Nevada). For groups of 10 or more, call 866-574-3851. All shows begin at 8 p.m. $1 from each ticket sold will benefit Teen Cancer America.
Tickets may also be purchased in person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Box Office or by calling 866-320-9763.
The 4,300-seat Colosseum spotlights world-class entertainers including Celine Dion, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Mariah Carey and Jerry Seinfeld.
Watch The Who perform at the same venue on May 29, 2016…
The Who have had a burst of recent performance announcements. In early February, Who manager Bill Curbishley revealed that the group would tour South America for the first time, plus new North American dates. “I’m busy putting together North American dates for later in the year for August-September and then—I still can’t believe it—but we’re gonna go down for the first time ever to South America.”
It was also revealed recently that the band would perform at Rock in Rio 2017 in Rio De Janeiro on September 23.
