Steely Dan Announce NYC Residency

Steely Dan will again perform a series of special shows for their devoted New York fanbase when Walter Becker and Donald Fagen take to The Beacon Theatre stage on Manhattan’s Upper West Side for a 10-night residency starting October 12. Included are four nights with special guest Rickie Lee Jones, the first time that Steely Dan will perform 1973’s Countdown to Ecstasy in its entirety, and much more.

Steely Dan previously staged complete performances of several of their classic albums from start to finish at The Beacon in ’08, ’09, ’11, ’13 and ’15. Included in this upcoming residency are performances of 1976’s The Royal Scam, 1977’s Aja and 1980’s Gaucho, plus greatest hits and “By Popular Demand ” nights. Each night, Steely Dan will also perform a set of diverse selections from their catalog.

Two other dates for upstate New York have been booked for Rochester (October 8) and Syracuse (October 9). Click here for tickets.
