Songwriters Hall of Fame 2019 Nominees Announced

The Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced its slate of nominees to be elected for induction at its Annual Induction & Awards Gala next June 13 in New York City.

Among this year’s crop of performing songwriter nominees are the following:

The Songwriters Hall of Fame, according to a description provided in the announcement, is dedicated to recognizing the work and lives of those composers and lyricists who create music around the world. To qualify for induction, a songwriter must be a published writer for a minimum of 20 years with a notable catalog of hit songs. Eligible voting members will have until midnight on December 17, 2018 to turn in ballots with their choices of three nominees from a songwriter and three from a performing songwriter category.

    Rod Argent has written a Hugh amount of hit songs for his group “Argent” The Zombies and for other artist -why isn’t his name listed
    God Gave Rock and Roll to you

    Time of the Season
    I love you
    And so many more ..I can name if you have the time.
    The Zombies are now 4th place on the list for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame..we fans are pushing for 3rd Place
    Rod should be on this list!

      He isn’t mentioned because he isn’t nominated. This is the 2019 Songwriters Hall of Fame nominees, not the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
