Rolling Stones ‘No Filter’ Tour in Munich: Recap

The second night of the Rolling Stones‘ #NoFilter tour took place Tuesday night (Sept. 12) in Munich, Germany, at the Olympiastadion, a venue built for the 1972 Summer Olympics, with a setlist almost identical to last Saturday’s opening night in Hamburg. Out were “Play With Fire” and “Under My Thumb”; in was “Beast of Burden,” as the set was reduced from 22 songs to 21.

A fan tweeted a picture of her arriving at the venue…

The Stones are spreading out their dates–they’re all 70+ years of age, after all–with breaks of at least three days between shows. (Next month, they’ll enjoy a six-day break in one instance.)

After years of opening their concerts with either “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” or “Start Me Up,” how cool is it to see them kick things off with “Sympathy For the Devil”?
