Hollywood Vampires 7-12-16The Hollywood Vampires returned to the stage last night (July 12) for the first time since their bandmate, Joe Perry, collapsed on stage during a concert earlier this week. And the band made sure to pay tribute to the legendary guitarist and friend.

Alice Cooper led the crowd in wishing Perry well after their cover performance of Jimi Hendrix‘s “Manic Depression.” In the video, as the band all took a bow, you will see Cooper get fans riled up to join together and yell “Get well, Joe!” You can also see other HV members, including actor Johnny Depp and Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver‘s Matt Sorum, there as well.

The Aersosmith co-founder, who collapsed at the beginning of their show in Brooklyn on July 10, is said to be in stable condition and under a doctor’s care. It is being reported that Perry had suffered cardiac arrest at the time. Perry has received tremendous support from his Aerosmith bandmates, who have tweeted out words of encouragement and love and have confirmed that “Joe will be back outon the road rockin” soon:

Hollywood Vampires were scheduled to perform on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Monday (July 11) but cancelled after Perry fell ill the night before. The band, which is led by Cooper, Perry and Depp, are in the midst of a North American tour, which followed a European leg. Their next date is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13 in Mt. Pleasant, MI, however Perry will not be re-joining them quite yet. Reports are stating that he will hit the stage with his HV band mates on later dates of the tour.

The Hollywood Vampires self-titled studio album was released last year and featured a Who’s Who of guest appearances including Perry Farrell, Dave Grohl, Sir Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Slash, Brian Johnson and Kip Winger, just to name a few. The LP took on songs associated with their fallen pals and musical heroes along with new original tunes. Artist proceeds went to benefit MusiCares.
