There’s cool and then there’s Bob Dylan cool. As the classic rock icon announced a new U.S. summer tour today, he casually referred to a forthcoming album, Fallen Angels, which will be his first since 2015’s well-received Shadows in the Night, his homage to Frank Sinatra. (Read Best Classic Bands‘ review here.) Dylan and his band begin the tour June 4-5 in Woodinville, WA with dates currently booked through July 17th.
Dylan will be performing throughout Japan in April. The U.S. dates will also feature 76-year-old R&B legend Mavis Staples. The tour announcement notes: “For every pair of tickets purchased, you will receive a redemption code to receive a Compact Disk of Bob Dylan’s forthcoming album Fallen Angels. (Not available for Indianapolis and Boston.)”
No other news about Fallen Angels – including a release date – is offered. Tickets, including pre-sale info for Amex cardholders, are available here.
