Starr, Wood and McCartney perform “Get Back” at London’s O2 Arena, Dec. 16, 2018

Some were calling it Beatlemania 2018 when word got out that Ringo Starr had joined his Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney onstage at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday (Dec. 16). The pair were joined by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood for a rollicking version of “Get Back.” Best Classic Bands was among the first news outlets to cover the story and share fan videos taken from inside the venue.

The concert was the third U.K. date and final 2018 performance of McCartney’s Freshen Up tour, which resumes in 2019 South America in March, followed by plenty of U.S. arena and stadium concerts in the spring and summer.

Today (Tues., Dec. 18), McCartney released an official video that shows the two classic rock icons being introduced and sharing hugs as well as a portion of the performance.

Look carefully, and you’ll see The Who’s Roger Daltrey, also in the wings, encouraging Wood as he’s being introduced.

Will McCartney or Starr join the Stones onstage for the latter’s 2019 No Filter U.S. tour?
