The Moody Blues’ Justin Hayward announced February 4 that he was postponing his February and March 2019 U.S. tour dates due to a “medical condition.” The group’s lead singer, guitarist and writer of such classic rock favorites as “Nights in White Satin,” “Tuesday Afternoon” and “The Story in Your Eyes,” said in a post on his Facebook page that “postponing is tough for us all, but not when it comes to our health.”

Hayward is still expected to perform on the inaugural On the Blue cruise, which runs from Feb. 10-15.

And on Feb. 6 came some good news, when Hayward announced plans for a September 2019 U.K. tour. (See dates below.)

Hayward’s complete Feb. 4 statement:

“Due to a medical condition that prevents me from doing extensive traveling in the next few weeks, I have made the decision to postpone all the Feb and March tour dates after my On The Blue cruise engagement. The concerts affected are Feb 16 – March 3. We hope to announce the rescheduled new dates in the next month.

My sincere apologies to all who have tickets for this run of gigs. I thank you in advance for your kind understanding.

Postponing is tough for us all, but not when it comes to our health.

I’ll be back on the road very soon.

Love Justin”
