Many of music’s biggest names performed at the FireAid benefit concerts tonight (January 30, 2025) to raise money for rebuilding communities devastated by wildfires and supporting efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California. The one-night-only event, held at two venues, Intuit Dome and Kia Forum, featured performances by classic rock stars John Fogerty, Rod Stewart, Sting, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Earth, Wind & Fire, Green Day, Alanis Morissette, John Mayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Black Crowes. The lineup also included such contemporary favorites as Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Katy Perry, No Doubt, and Olivia Rodrigo, among others. (Dave Matthews, who had been scheduled to perform with Mayer, had to cancel his appearance due to what was described as “a critical illness in the family.”)
The evening began at the Kia Forum with Green Day performing “Last Night on Earth” and halfway through they were joined by Billie Eilish. “From the bottom of our hearts, we love you, Los Angeles, and we’ve got your backs,” said frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. The band followed with “Still Breathing” and “When I Come Around.”
Fans across the globe are able to make contributions to the cause here, as FireAid was broadcast and streamed live on Apple Music and the Apple TV app, DirecTV, Max, Disney+/Hulu, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudom.com, Paramount+, Prime Video, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, exclusively on “LIFE with John Mayer,” Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube, and at select AMC Theatre locations in 70 U.S. markets.
Green Day were followed by actor-comedian Billy Crystal, one of those whose home was lost to the fires. “Now I’m one of the hurting thousands asking ‘have you seen my church, have you seen my town’. Our goal is simple tonight…” he joked, “to raise more money than the Dodgers spent on free agents.” He revealed that U2 had just donated $1 million. For every pledge made during the broadcast, Connie and Steve Ballmer will match it, doubling the impact of the contribution. “LA strong,” exclaimed Crystal, as he closed his segment.
Next up was Morissette whose mini-set featured “Hand In My Pocket” and “Thank U.” Not long after, a seated Mitchell sung “Both Sides Now” to enthusiastic applause.
Soon enough, Stills took the stage with Heartbreakers’ guitarist Mike Campbell to perform “For What It’s Worth,” along with Dawes. And then came the first big reunion of the evening. As Campbell departed the stage, Nash appeared, joining his longtime bandmate, Stills, for “Teach Your Children.” “Take care of yourself,” urged Nash. “Take care of one another.”

P!nk followed with a three-song set including a pair of classic rock favorites, “Me and Bobby McGee” and “Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You.”
Samuel L. Jackson then kicked off the Intuit Dome portion of the evening as he introduced Rod Stewart, who offered a rousing “Forever Young.” “I’ve lived here for 50 years,” he said. “So Los Angeles is in my soul and my heart.” He followed with “Maggie May” and “People Get Ready.”
John Mayer’s three-song set including a cover of the Tom Petty-Jeff Lynne song “Free Fallin’.” “For me and so many others growing up, this was our first insight into the dream of living in California. And for those whose dreams have broken… we will get together tonight and many other nights to make sure those dreams are repaired.”
Later, back at the Kia Forum, after the Black Crowes performed “Remedy” (and before playing “Going to California” with Slash), they invited Fogerty to join them for the apt “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.”
Stevie Nicks, also at the Forum, delivered three of her many favorites, “Stand Back,” “Landslide” and “Edge of Seventeen.”
What’s being described as a Nirvana “reunion” featured Joan Jett, Kim Gordon and St. Vincent along with the band’s Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
Much later, Stevie Wonder performed “Love’s in Need of Love Today,” “Superstition” and “Higher Ground.”
100-percent of ticket purchases will go to benefit FireAid relief efforts, with all venue and ticketing service fees waived for this event.
In an effort to ensure people can experience as much of the FireAid benefit show as possible, fans who bought tickets for Intuit Dome were able to view the Kia Forum show on screens inside the Intuit Dome. Conversely, when the Kia Forum show ends, fans inside will be able to view the acts at Intuit Dome, on screens at the Kia Forum, until the end of the event.
The lineup for the Intuit Dome: Rod Stewart, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Tate McRae, Billie Eilish, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Stevie Wonder, and Sting.
The Kia Forum lineup: Green Day, Alanis Morissette, Anderson .Paak joined by Sheila E., Joni Mitchell, Dawes, Stephen Stills w/Mike Campbell, Graham Nash, P!nk, John Mayer, the Black Crowes, John Fogerty, No Doubt, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Stevie Nicks.
Contributions made to FireAid will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation, for short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters. The Annenberg Foundation, with decades of philanthropic leadership in our community, including rapid response, will help coordinate a team to direct funds for the greatest impact. All proceeds from the FireAid benefit concert at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum will go directly to the event’s designated beneficiaries, as the LA Clippers will be covering the millions in expenses associated with the event.
The FireAid benefit concert is being produced by Shelli, Irving, and the Azoff family, in conjunction with Live Nation and AEG Presents.
In a separate initiative, The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation is launching the only LAFD-approved, limited-edition capsule collection, including a product line of unisex hoodies, crewnecks, hats, and tees that reflect the essence of Los Angeles culture while honoring the LAFD’s tireless work to keep the city safe. Designed and curated by L.A.-based manufacturer and brand incubator End to End, 100 percent of net proceeds from the collection will go directly to the Foundation, the official nonprofit arm of the LAFD.
On February 7, legendary streetwear brand Born x Raised will launch the first of many fashion-based initiatives to support the LAFD Foundation. All of the pieces are available exclusively here.
“We are excited to be part of this innovative campaign, and highlight the essential work of our firefighters,” said LAFD Foundation president Liz Lin. “The support we receive through initiatives like this directly enhances our ability to equip our firefighters with the tools they need to do their jobs.”
LAFD is represented by UTA who brokered the deal with End to End.
In partnership with Complex, there are three exclusive SKUs available on Complex Shop: the LAFD Varsity Hoodie, LAFD Heart of the City Beanie, and LAFD Leading the Way Tee.
“We are proud to be working alongside such incredible partners to raise funds and awareness for the LAFD Foundation,” said Allie Brodsky, of UTA Ventures. “This collection is a celebration of LA’s rich culture, and the inspiring LAFD firefighters who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe.”

Jump into a conversationNot begrudging the good people of Southern Cal…but, where where were these people celebrities when the good people of the Carolinas needed their charity and support?? The hypocrisy is numbing.
Mogues, the benefit concert for the Carolinas had a fine lineup of its own.
Good point. Where were they indeed? I’d like to volunteer or contribute but they installed these leaders ..
Your question should’ve been “Where ‘were’ the country music celebrities that live IN and around the Carolinas, when the hurricanes hit? carrie underwood… WHERE WERE YOU?!
And NOW, after verbally attacking them and wishing them ill for years, you and your fellow cult members want the help of the Holly-tard community (as your crowd has labelled them)? Ask your leader and the likes of stallone, mel gibson and james woods for help.
