Tom Jones has dozens of tour dates scheduled for 2026.
Tom Jones has announced more than two dozen North American dates this fall at part of his 2026 tour. The singing legend, who hails from Wales, U.K., turned 86 on June 7. Jones has had 38 Top 40 singles in the U.K. (19 in the U.S.) and sold some 100 million records worldwide. He broke through in 1965 when “It’s Not Unusual” hit #1 in the U.K. and went Top 10 in America. He also scored hits with the themes for the films What’s New Pussycat? (written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David) and Thunderball.
He won the 1966 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. His many hits include “She’s A Lady,” “Green, Green Grass of Home” and “Delilah.” Jones hosted a variety show, This Is Tom Jones, that aired on ABC-TV from 1969 to 1971 and featured some of the biggest guests in classic rock. Jump into a conversationGreat to hear that Sir Tom Jones is still performing at upcoming 86 years young.
Further inspiration that there is hope for the rest of us (albeit health conditions permitting), the following musical artists are over 85, representing genres across the musical spectrum, and are still performing live shows (I am sure there are probably others, but these come to mind initially):
Buddy Guy – 89 years young
Petula Clark – 93 years young
Willie Nelson – 93 years young
Herb Alpert – 91 years young
Frankie Valli – 92 years young
Smokey Robinson- 86 years young
“Do not go gently into that good night” – Dylan Thomas (contributing inspiration to Robert Zimmerman to use the stage name Bob Dylan, who also just turned 85 Few days ago.)
