A six-CD set featuring six classic albums by Edgar Winter from the 1970s has been released. The remastered CDs contain rare mono and stereo edits as well as B-sides from the time.
The set starts off with 1971’s Edgar Winter’s White Trash, the second studio album by Winter and his first with his group White Trash (produced by Rick Derringer). Next is Roadwork, a 1972 live album recorded before audiences at the Apollo Theatre in New York City and in Los Angeles at the Whisky a Go-Go nightclub. The third is 1972’s They Only Come Out At Night, the first by the Edgar Winter Group, which sold two million copies and reached the #3 slot on the Billboard album chart. Shock Treatment is the fourth studio album by Winter and went to #13 on the Billboard chart. The Edgar Winter Group With Rick Derringer, released in 1975, features Winter’s longtime sideman. Finally, there’s Recycled, released in 1977, a reunion of Edgar Winter’s White Trash that brings vocalist Jerry LaCroix back to the forefront.

In addition, Winter’s solo albums have been collected into a set named Tell Me in a Whisper. The remastered 4-CD set contains the albums Entrance, Jasmine Nightdreams, The Edgar Winter Album and Standing On Rock and is augmented by rare mono and stereo edits as well as b-sides from the time.
Both collections are from Cherry Red Records.
