Good news for Bad Company fans. The British rockers will get the retrospective treatment this fall from Rhino with a 19-song collection, Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy: The Very Best Of Bad Company. The tracks span from the band’s core 1974-1982 output and naturally include their biggest and most enduring hits: the single version of “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love” and “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy.”
Longtime followers will appreciate the inclusion of previously unreleased versions of “Easy On My Soul” and “See The Sunlight.” The Very Best Of… also includes the band’s well-known eponymous song “Bad Company” plus “Ready For Love,” “Movin On” and the single version of “Run With The Pack.” The October 2nd release is already available for pre-orders.
The blues rock band was a so-called supergroup, formed in 1973 by members of several successful British bands. Singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke were both former members of Free; Mick Ralphs had been guitarist for Mott the Hoople and Boz Burrell was the bass player for King Crimson.
Bad Company’s 1974 self-titled debut album was an immediate success becoming a #1 seller later that year. The follow-up Straight Shooter followed closely behind in 1975 and helped establish the band’s legacy.
