The Rolling Stones have added a second concert in Los Angeles to their 2021 tour. The October 14 performance at SoFi Stadium fills what was an eight-day gap in their schedule. On August 26, the promoter for the tour announced that it would continue as planned, despite the death of the band’s drummer, Charlie Watts, on Aug. 24. Concerts West issued the statement after numerous reports had speculated that the dates would be canceled in light of Watts’ passing. On Aug. 4 it was revealed that Watts was “unlikely” to participate in the tour due to an unidentified medical procedure. At that time, it was announced that veteran drummer Steve Jordan would replace Watts on the tour.

A pre-sale for the new Oct. 14 concert in Los Angeles begins on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. PT here. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Friday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. PT.

The Stones initially announced on July 22 that their acclaimed No Filter tour would kick off this fall in the United States. The thirteen 2021 dates will mark the rock and roll legends’ first time reuniting following last year’s postponement and the death of their beloved drummer. The series of stadium dates follows a massively successful and record-breaking first leg in 2019.

The 2021 No Filter tour is set to begin September 26 at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, MO, with rescheduled stops in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Minneapolis, Tampa, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit and Austin. The concerts in Los Angeles and Las Vegas were not on the original itinerary. [They were also scheduled to perform at the annual Jazz Fest in New Orleans, but the event was canceled.]

The July 22 announcement noted that previously scheduled dates for Vancouver, Louisville, Cleveland and Buffalo were unable to be rescheduled. Ticketholders in these markets were contacted by Ticketmaster directly with more information. Where feasible, a priority offer for ticketholders will be available for nearby shows.

All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled performances. Tickets for all dates are available here. A number of exclusive VIP Packages are also available.

The tour is once again sponsored by Alliance for Lifetime Income, a nonprofit education organization that educates Americans about the importance of having protected lifetime income.

In the July 22 announcement, Jagger said, “I’m so excited to get back on the stage again and want to thank everyone for their patience. See you soon!”

Richards added, “We’re back on the road! See you there!”

When the Stones postponed their 2020 tour on March 17, 2020, the announcement said, “We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone has to take priority. We will all get through this together – and we’ll see you very soon.”

The 2019 North American tour, postponed for Jagger’s unexpected heart valve procedure, ultimately began on June 21 and continued through August 30. The setlist, typically 19 songs, included such classic rock favorites as “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Miss You,” “Brown Sugar” and “Gimme Shelter.”

Undoubtedly. If for no other reason than their desire to return to the Tick-Tock Diner, where they were encouraged to “Eat Heavy.”

With the death of Charlie Watts, The Rolling Stones should bow out of the picture permanently… or at the most, just do a Jagger/Richards/Wood threesome; perhaps performing as an acoustic act
