As we reported on Oct. 18, based on a brief item in the New York Post, the “Springsteen on Broadway” production formally announced today (Nov. 27) that it is extending its run at the Walter Kerr Theatre through June 30, 2018.

From today’s announcement: With the first 16 weeks of performances sold out, “Springsteen on Broadway” additional shows will go on sale Dec. 19 for performances to run Feb. 28 through June 30, 2018.

Due to overwhelming participation in the original Onsale powered by Ticketmaster #VerifiedFan, there will be no additional registration for this extension. Fans who previously registered and were verified but placed on Standby and did not receive a code, and fans who received a code but were unsuccessful in purchasing tickets will be contacted with further information about the added shows.

Please Note:
– All codes from the initial onsales are now invalid. New codes will be required to participate in the extended run onsale.
– Being registered does not guarantee you will receive a code and receiving a code does not guarantee you will get tickets.

If randomly selected from the registered pool, you will receive an access code via text message on Tuesday, Dec. 19 prior to the Onsale at 10 a.m. ET. The first message will include timing details and a link to where you can purchase your tickets, immediately followed by another text containing your unique access code. Keep your phone handy – you’ll receive text messages 2-4 hours before the Onsale.

All performances of ‘Springsteen On Broadway’ through Feb. 3 are sold out. A limited number of tickets will be available for each performance via the Springsteen on Broadway Lottery. Visit to learn more.

For every performance, 26 tickets will be sold for $75 each, limit 2 tickets per winner. Seat locations may vary per performance. Lottery entries will be permitted up to a week prior to the performance desired and drawings will occur 24 hours prior to the performance.

The lottery will offer five performances at a time for entry. Entry closes at 10 a.m. ET the day prior to the performance. Winner and non-winner notifications will be sent at 12 p.m. ET the day prior via email or SMS. Only one entry is permitted per person. Repeated entries and invalid email addresses will be discarded. Tickets must be purchased online with a credit card by 4 p.m. ET the day prior to the performance using the purchase link and unique code in a notification message. Tickets not claimed by 4 p.m. ET the day prior to the performance are forfeited. Lottery tickets will be void if resold.

Patrons must be 18 years or older and have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name used to enter. Winner codes are non-transferable. Ticket limits and prices displayed are at the sole discretion of the show and are subject to change without notice. Lottery prices are not valid on prior purchases. Lottery ticket offer cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. All sales final – no refunds or exchanges. Lottery may be revoked or modified at any time without notice. No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve the chances of winning.

Tickets are also available at StubHub.

The Post article from last month said that Springsteen is a “lock” for a special Tony award for his run of shows on Broadway.
