Ringo Starr has added U.S. dates to his 2019 All Starr Band tour. The 2019 edition of the band features Toto’s Steve Lukather, Men at Work’s Colin Hay, Santana and Journey’s Gregg Rolie, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette and the return of All Starr alumnus Hamish Stuart.

A first leg began on March 21 with one U.S. show at Harrah’s Resort Southern California before the band heads to Japan, starting in Fukuoka on March 27 and ending April 11 in Osaka.

August 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of Ringo and His All Starr Band and they will hit the road for a celebratory tour which concludes September 1 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, nearly 30 years to the day when the inaugural All Starrs completed their first tour on September 3, 1989. In November 2018, Another Day In the Life, Ringo’s third book with Genesis Publications, was released in a limited edition, while the hardcover will available in wide release in April. Orders can be made at ringobook.com. Following in the series that began with the sell-out success of Postcards From The Boys (2003) and Photograph (2013), this book will include previously unpublished photographs, captioned with Ringo’s observations and anecdotes.

Ringo also revealed the location of his annual birthday celebration. On July 7, 2019, he’ll turn 79 and will return to Capitol Records Tower in Los Angeles for his annual Peace & Love celebration, where he’ll join gathered fans. Ringo began these in 2008 at the Hard Rock Café Chicago and last year he celebrated the 10th Anniversary at the Hard Rock Café Nice. In the ensuing years it has grown enormously and in 2018 there were Peace & Love events in over 60 countries. Details for the 2019 event will be announced in the coming months.

November will also see Ringo honored when he receives the Humanitarian Award from the George Harrison Fund for UNICEF on “Giving Tuesday,” Nov. 27, 2019, at their annual Snowflake Ball in New York City.
