Three days after they formally announced their reunion tour, the Black Crowes brothers Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson performed a second surprise concert. This time it was Nov. 14 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Calif. A Nov. 11 performance at the intimate Bowery Ballroom in New York, took place just hours after the pair went on SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Show to reveal the news that had been rumored, ever since ads began to appear for 2020 concerts.

The reconstituted Black Crowes will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Shake Your Money Maker with a big summer tour. The band also includes guitarist Isaiah Mitchell, bass guitarist Tim Lefebvre, drummer Raj Ojha and keyboardist Joel Robinow.

At both sneak previews, the new edition of the Black Crowes performed an 11-song set including “Jealous Again,” “Hard to Handle” and the rest of Shake Your Money Maker. They closed with an encore of the Rolling Stones’ “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
