British rocker Billy Idol has significantly expanded his first ever residency in Las Vegas – and he definitely won’t be dancing alone on what’s being called Billy Idol: Forever. The punk icon will be joined by longtime guitarist Steve Stevens for a series of shows at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, starting March 16th. There will be six shows in March and six in May, followed by return engagements later in the year (see below).
Idol joins the ever-growing roster of talented performers who have taken to the stage in Vegas. (John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival recently completed his first Sin City residency as well.) He may very well be the first true punk rocker to join the ranks of Liberace, Tom Jones and Elvis – but he definitely has the spiked hair and studded jackets befitting of a slick Vegas star. Expect a show packed with material from throughout Idol’s lengthy career, from Generation X tunes to solo hits.
