Tom Jones has announced that his 2020 concerts have been moved to 2021 “to ensure the protection of fans, my crew and everyone who works in support of the shows.” (See the rescheduled dates below.) The Welsh-born singer turns 80 on June 7.

On his social media platforms, Jones wrote, “I’m really sorry to have to inform you that my shows scheduled for this Summer have had to be postponed until next year. As you most likely are aware, public performances are sadly not going forward as normal for just about everyone who works in music and entertainment.”

All tickets already purchased for 2020 will remain valid for the re-scheduled shows in 2021. Alternately, if you need a refund, contact your point of purchase.

Jones has had 38 Top 40 singles in the U.K. (19 in the U.S.) and sold some 100 million records worldwide. He broke through in 1965 when “It’s Not Unusual” hit #1 in the U.K. and went Top 10 in America. He also scored hits with the themes for the films What’s New Pussycat? (written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David) and Thunderball.

He won the 1966 Grammy Award for Best New Artist.

His many hits include “She’s A Lady,” “Green, Green Grass of Home” and “Delilah.” Jones hosted a variety show, This Is Tom Jones, that aired on ABC-TV from 1969 to 1971 and featured some of the biggest guests in classic rock. He was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006.

Since 2012, he has been a coach on The Voice U.K. (except for one season).
