The Who continue to add dates to their summer schedule with the announcement today (April 18) that they’ve added yet another date to their 2017 North American schedule. They’ll play Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on July 20. Presale tickets will be available to fan club members on Wednesday, April 19 at 10 a.m. and for the general public on Friday, April 21.
They recently announced that they’ll be performing at the Outside Lands Festival at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on August 12. (They and Metallica are the only two classic rock acts among the dozens of other acts on the bill.) Tickets for the festival are available exclusively at sfoutsidelands.com.
The Who also recently revealed that they’ll be playing the Festival d’été de Québec on July 13.
They revealed on March 20 that they’ll be playing four U.S. dates in July leading up to their recently announced Las Vegas residency. The performances are spread out over 10 days. Tickets are on sale here and here.
Joining the growing list of classic rock acts, comedians and pop stars who have embraced Sin City, The Who announced earlier that they will launch an exclusive Las Vegas residency this summer at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning July 29.
Though the venue has become the home of some of the biggest names in entertainment, The Who are the first rock band to take residency at The Colosseum since the venue opened in 2003.
Tickets for the initial run of six shows, scheduled July 29 through August 11, are available here and here.
The set list or type of show is as yet undecided.
The first six shows are July 29, August 1, 4, 7, 9 and 11. Prices are not for the faint of heart: Tickets are $501/$351/$226/$151/$100.50/$76 (prices include 9% live entertainment tax as assessed by the State of Nevada). For groups of 10 or more, call 866-574-3851. All shows begin at 8 p.m. $1 from each ticket sold will benefit Teen Cancer America.
Tickets may also be purchased in person at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Box Office or by calling 866-320-9763.
The 4,300-seat Colosseum spotlights world-class entertainers including Celine Dion, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Mariah Carey and Jerry Seinfeld.
