We’ve posted news recently of some major 2016 tours of classic rock acts. Now comes word of a Sting and Peter Gabriel tour for this summer. Their Rock Paper Scissors tour will visit select North American cities this June and July (complete itinerary below).
Having first toured together in the eighties for Amnesty International, #RockPaperScissors will find Gabriel and Sting performing both separately and together, playing their own songs as well as melding their bands to explore each other’s most celebrated hits.

The 64-year-old Sting last toured America in 2014 when he teamed with Paul Simon. In the interim his __ opened on Broadway. As the frontman for The Police, he enjoyed six Top 10 singles including the #1 hit “Every Breath You Take.” His biggest solo hits include “If You Love Somebody Set Them Free,” “Fortress Around Your Heart” and “We’ll Be Together.”
After leaving Genesis, the 65-year-old Gabriel enjoyed a huge solo career with the #1 chart hit “Sledgehammer” as well as “Shock the Monkey” and “In Your Eyes,” among others. This tour puts any potential Genesis reunion plans involving Gabriel to rest.
Here’s the video announcement that the two released…
