UMe has released an updated version of The Best Of Bond…James Bond, a compilation on 2-CDs and 3-LPs featuring celebrated theme songs from the longest-running film franchise. The new collection, with the vinyl coming Oct. 8, 2021, features such classic 007 movie songs as Shirley Bassey’s “Goldfinger,” Carly Simon’s “Nobody Does It Better” (from The Spy Who Loved Me) and Paul McCartney & Wings’ “Live and Let Die.” It also includes the John Barry Orchestra’s iconic “James Bond Theme” as well as “No Time To Die” by Billie Eilish from No Time To Die, the 25th film in the series. The movie, much-delayed due to the pandemic is being released in the U.K. on Sep. 30 and in the U.S. on Oct. 8. Watch the trailer here.

Also included is Adele’s “Skyfall” from Skyfall, the Oscar® winner for Best Song in 2013 and the theme songs from Tina Turner, Sheena Easton, Tom Jones, Gladys Knight and more.

With “Goldfinger,” Bassey achieved her first Top 10 hit, which reached #8 on the Hot 100. “Live And Let Die,” written by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney, and produced by Beatles producer George Martin, reached #2 and became the first Bond theme song to win a GRAMMY® award (Best Pop Vocal Performance, 1973). The song continues to be a highlight in McCartney’s live performances.
