Update (May 18): Dead and & Company are doing a free show this Monday, May 23 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA. Tickets will be available beginning Thursday, May 19 at 12N local time by clicking here.

As the band notes on its Facebook page: “All we ask is that you “pay it forward” in some way, large or small, and share those acts of kindness with us by using the hashtag #DeadandCoSF. Please share your good deeds and generosity with us, and let the cosmos know how you are paying it forward.”

Update (March 14): West coast dates have just been added. Tickets are on sale beginning Sat., March 19; presales start March 15 here. Complete itinerary below.

On the heels of the band’s 2015 tour, Dead & Company is launching its 2016 tour on June 10 in Charlotte, North Carolina, before headlining Bonnaroo 2016 that weekend. The celebrated group’s cross-country run features two nights at Citi Field in New York, a two-show Independence Day weekend celebration at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado and two nights at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin with the tour scheduled to conclude with two shows at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park on July 15-16. Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir; singer/guitarist John Mayer; Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge; and “Fare Thee Well” and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti will perform two sets of music drawing from the Dead’s historic catalog of songs.

Mystery or What: Take a closer look at the above artwork that accompanied the tour announcement.  While the band has announced the two dates at NYC’s Citi Field, the image features two dates at MSG. Hmmm…

Dead & Company will make their late night debut on Thursday, February 18 when the classic rock band performs on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

In October of 2015 the band took to the stage for their inaugural nationwide tour, kicking off with three sold-out concerts at the legendary Madison Square Garden and ending the year with two sold-out performances at the “Fabulous” Forum. Click here for Best Classic Bands previous coverage.
