It’s been 25 years since the Dave Matthews Band crashed into the music scene. And to celebrate the anniversary, their widely popular second album, Crash, will come to vinyl for the first time.
On July 15, RCA Records and Legacy Recordings will issue the newly remastered 2-LP 20th Anniversary set, pressed on 180 gram vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket that features an eight-page booklet packed with previously unpublished photographs of the band.
The best-selling album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified 7x platinum by the RIAA, in recognition of seven million copies sold. Originally released on April 30, 1996, Crash brought the band three Grammy nominations and one award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the song “So Much To Say.”
Over a span of the next 14 years – from 1998 to 2012 – the Virginia-based Dave Matthews Band would release six albums, all of which reached #1 on the album sales chart. Here’s “So Much To Say” from their 2012 Central Park concert…
