Blues rockers Big Head Todd & The Monsters are officially back on the charts with their latest single “Wipeout Turn,” which debuted at #29 this week on the Triple A radio chart. The critically acclaimed, platinum-selling band (Sister Sweetly in 1993) – Todd Park Mohr, Brian Nevin, Rob Squires and Jeremy Lawton – holds the unique honor of being one of the longest-running groups in rock history with all of the same founding members .

After forming in Colorado in 1984, Big Head Todd & The Monsters quickly made a name for themselves on the burgeoning jam band scene with bluesy rock’n’roll riffs, soulful songwriting and unique arrangements. The critically-acclaimed, platinum-selling band has been together for 31 years now, and they’re still going strong. In September, they released a new live album – Live At Red Rocks June 6, 2015 – in honor of more than 20 performances at the famed Colorado venue throughout their career. The collection includes fan favorites like “Broken Hearted Savior,” “Sister Sweetly,” “Bittersweet,” and covers of The Rolling Stones’ “Bitch” and Led Zeppelin’s “Misty Mountain Hop.” The band will be returning to Red Rocks Amphitheater on June 11th alongside special guest opener Dwight Yoakam.

“The recording session [for the new single] was filmed with full green screen behind every musician’s studio setup,” Mohr explained to Guitar World. (He produced and directed the music video for “Wipeout Turn.”) “The band is really playing in this video! So nice to start with footage of a super-special recording session and then be able to reverse engineer it into a fully produced music video.”
