Longtime AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd, who earned his rock bona fides with the band during two different eras—1975 through 1983, and again from 1994 to 2015—has announced a string of 2017 tour dates. The tour is in support of Rudd’s debut solo album Head Job. The album, released in 2014, features Rudd accompanied by New Zealand musicians Allan Badger (bass guitar and vocals) and Geoffrey Martin (guitar).
The tour begins on the last day of March and continues all the way through to the end of May. It is unknown at this time whether the band will take on the name Head Job as its own or choose another. Joining Rudd, Badger and Martin for the tour will be British bassist John Proctor and New Zealand guitarist Mike “Mutt” Furness.

Rudd has had a rough time of it since the release of the solo album, including various legal issues and a heart attack over the summer.
