When a legendary classic rock band like The Who endorses your mad editing skills, it’s time to take a well-deserved bow. A fellow named Garren Lazar uses Final Cut Pro to create video homages of the Peanuts Gang performing classic rock songs like Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here,” “Tom Sawyer” by Rush and The Who’s “Baba O’Riley.”
Here, Schroeder is on keyboards (natch!), Pig Pen on the drum kit, Snoopy on the standup bass, Linus on lead vocals, and so on.
Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz was born on November 26, 1922. He died on February 12, 2000 at age 77.
When your handiwork is shared by The Who’s social media team on Facebook, we say “Bravo,” Garren. Our Classic Video…

The Who released “Baba O’Riley” as a single in several countries on October 23, 1971. The song—and dozens of other performances, many previously unreleased—are included in an expansive 2023 Who’s Next / Life House box set, available in the U.S. here and in the U.K. here. (They also released a new studio album in 2019 that was expanded to include their live club performances from February 2020, available here.) When they return to the concert stage, tickets will be available at Ticketmaster and here.
