Joe Walsh guests on Brian Johnson: A Life on the Road, airing on AXS TV on Nov. 3

Brian Johnson: A Life On The Road, the TV series hosted by the longtime AC/DC frontman, is making its U.S. television debut this fall on AXS TV. The program airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.

The network acquired the two seasons of the program, totaling 12 episodes that feature interviews with such classic rock legends as Roger Daltrey, Robert Plant, Joe Walsh, Paul Rodgers, and more.

“To sit and chat with my friends and heroes while filming On The Road was ridiculous fun, and with no professional journalists around, you can feel the trust,” said Johnson about the series.

From the July 10 announcement: Brian Johnson: A Life On The Road finds the rocker going above and abroad to catch up with a slate of fellow icons, hearing their priceless stories from their time on tour and taking viewers to the places that helped define their legendary careers.

Johnson’s interview with Walsh airs Sunday, November 3, when the pair take a tour of some of L.A. most iconic music landmarks. In this first-look, Walsh discusses his enduring hit, “Rocky Mountain Way.”

“I knew it was a good song,” Walsh explains. “You can feel it, ya know. People feel it, and they remember where they were the first time they heard it. That’s the connect that makes things special.”

As the pair cruise down the streets of Los Angeles, Walsh reflects on his early days as a young artist coming up in the vibrant Southern California music scene. “This whole community of artists—before anybody made it—was full of creative energy,” Walsh continues. “A bunch of groups came out of that… and one of ‘em was The Eagles. That was guys who got focused during a very artistically creative environment and period. You can’t make that. That just happens.”

Season Two will include conversations with Billy Joel, Joe Walsh, Mark Knopfler, Paul Rodgers and Mick Fleetwood.

Johnson and Walsh made headlines on June 24 when the latter tweeted a photo of the pair in London. Many interpreted it that the two were recording an album together but Walsh followed it up with a second tweet denying that was so.

Several months ago, Johnson was said to be involved with recording sessions for a new AC/DC release. The still-unconfirmed album reportedly would include contributions from the band’s late rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young in the form of unused recordings made years ago.

Brian Johnson: A Life On The Road airs back-to-back with a new music series, Paul Shaffer Plus One, hosted by the musician and television personality.
